Tabatha lives inside East Kirby River Estates, also called The Shores, a gated enclave of wealth and scandal. By day, she is a polished socialite with a PhD. By night, she becomes a plasma-powered vigilante with twin energy whips and a talent for tying criminals into humiliating positions. The show blends high-society screwball comedy with modern superhero noir. The world is filled with eccentric aunts, chaotic sisters, sorority disasters, political intrigue, and a heroine who would rather fight crime in couture than hide in a cave. Proof of Concept Story The short introduces Tabatha during a chaotic holiday season. Twenty-four sorority girls have overrun her mansion. Aunt Mary, a glamorous rocker, hosts nightly parties. Aunt Madeline enforces social order with military precision. Her younger twin sisters cause disasters wherever they go. Tabatha’s boyfriend, Detective Lieutenant Tommy Rip Jones, tries to keep her out of trouble while working a case involving missing servers in West Masterson. Rumors grow about a masked vigilante called the Electric Whipmistress who leaves criminals hog-tied with lipstick warnings. Tabatha denies any connection while defending the vigilante’s fashion choices. As more women vanish, whispers spread through the city and The Shores. Despite her promises to Rip and her hosting duties for the annual Gala, Tabatha inches closer to danger. The short ends with her preparing to investigate the disappearances herself, setting up the whole series arc. Tone and Style Elegant, witty, and chaotic with sharp action and rich character comedy. Influences include The Philadelphia Story, Totally Killer, Gossip Girl, Jessica Jones, and The Mask of Zorro. Comedy sits beside tension. Romance sparks inside chaos. Tabatha’s voice guides the tone with classic screwball timing and high society flair. Why It Will Likely Receive an R Rating Stylized action scenes with plasma whips, hand-to-hand fighting, crime themes, kidnapping, mature humor, suggestive dialogue, occasional strong language, and brief comedic nudity (sorority mishaps, pool chaos, criminals caught in nets with visible welts). The tone remains playful, but the stakes and danger are grounded. The screenplay is still in flux and some scenes may be cut. We are casting both leads and strong character actors to portray members of Tabatha’s eccentric world.
