Side Show
Project Details
Set in the early 1900s, SIDE SHOW follows two women, Sapphira and Xiao, whose lives intersect within a traveling carnival sideshow where they are displayed as exotic curiosities for the amusement of paying audiences. Bound by exploitation and isolation, the women form an unlikely connection that challenges the roles imposed upon them. As tensions rise within the sideshow, questions of identity, dignity, and humanity emerge in a world where being different is both a spectacle and a sentence.
