Real Western Ranchers, Ranch Hands & Photographers

Synopsis:

We are casting REAL cattle ranchers, their working ranch hands, and professional landscape photographers in Western and Mountain states for an upcoming educational medical video series. We are also seeking active cattle ranches to film on. Filming will take place on the selected ranch, and a location fee will be provided. This project follows a real patient living with an autoimmune condition as they travel to a ranch as part of a road trip experience. While there, they will connect with the rancher and learn about ranch life, sharing natural, unscripted conversations around resilience, daily life, and living with or supporting someone with a chronic illness. We are specifically seeking active cattle ranches (not hobby farms), along with the real rancher and one of their ranch hands who help run the operation. Ranchers should have a strong connection to their land, community, and a deep respect for their animals. For the rancher and photographer, it is a bonus (not required) to have a personal connection to someone living with a chronic or autoimmune condition—this could be a family member, friend, neighbor, or employee. Conditions may include Myasthenia Gravis, MS, ALS, muscular dystrophy, severe arthritis, or other rare/chronic/autoimmune or neuromuscular illnesses. (No need to share personal details—just your connection and understanding.) We are also casting professional landscape photographers (with a portfolio of work) who specialize in Western/mountain environments. The photographer will be on camera teaching and interacting with our patient, who is an amateur photographer, sharing real-world tips and insights in a natural, unscripted way. This project highlights how new advances in treatment are allowing patients more freedom in their daily lives, including the ability to travel rather than being tied to one location. Production is experienced in filming on active ranches and will be respectful of the land, animals, and workflow, working closely with the rancher to ensure minimal disruption. This is a conversational, non-scripted project focused on real experiences and human connection—not traditional advertising.
