A woman, emotionally disconnected from the world around her, moves through a series of increasingly traumatic and emotionally charged events with complete detachment. Whether witnessing heartbreak, celebrating a birthday at work, lying beneath a knife suspended over her bed, discovering her vandalized car, or standing motionless during a violent convenience store robbery, she remains expressionless—never reacting to the chaos surrounding her. As the band performs intermittently throughout these scenes, the contrast between the intensity of the events and her numbness reveals the video’s central theme: the emotional cost of sacrificing one’s own feelings in relentless pursuit of a goal. The film explores loneliness, emotional dissociation, and the quiet devastation of losing touch with oneself.
