Million Dollar Personality Girl
“Million Dollar Personality Girl” is about the iconic 1930’s tap dancer and actress Jeni LeGon: the first Black woman to sign a long-term contract with a major Hollywood studio, marketed as The Million Dollar Personality Girl; only to be swallowed by the industry’s casual brutality. A visit from her old friend and mentor, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, helps remind her of who she is and where she belongs.
