Synopsis
MedWatch Today is a local television show in partnership with Nexstar Media and Community Health System. It airs weekly on the NBC and CBS networks in California's Central Valley and posts to YouTube. The Host/Writer role will be employed by Nexstar but work closely with the Executive Producers at Community Health System.

Searching for a new full-time host for an ongoing weekly medical news show airing on local networks in California's Central Valley.
Must live or being willing to relocate to Fresno, CA.
- Provide on camera contributions to a weekly television show
- Write 6-7 segments for each episode based on interviews and research. Must be great at taking notes and rewriting scripts.
- Interview show guests both in studio and on location
- Greet guests during show preparations.
- Research show topics and develop questions for guests in coordination with Executive Producer
- Attend weekly show meeting
- Participate in events –either station-sponsored or others – to promote the show
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in film, photography, television, news, or related field, or equivalent professional/performance experience
- Proven experience as a host or on-air personality
- Experience with teleprompter and voice over work a plus
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple project with varying production timelines
- Must be energetic, positive and great in a team environment
- Must be highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must join SAG AFTRA Union
- $50-60k Yearly
