Synopsis

JOB is a grounded theological horror drama about a farming family whose faith and relationships are pushed to breaking point. Dangerous Times Productions is casting three adult roles for a paid proof-of-concept shoot for the planned independent feature. We are seeking truthful, restrained screen performances, strong listening, and comfort with emotionally challenging material.

Additional Information: PAID NON-UNION PROOF OF CONCEPT Location: Etobicoke, Toronto. Applicants must be able to attend in person. Target shoot window: December 2026 or January 2027; exact dates confirmed before booking. Pay: CAD $250 per performer per eight-hour call-to-wrap day, including the meal break. Meals, water and snacks provided. Job and Sarah: two paid shoot days each (CAD $500 each). Satan: one paid shoot day (CAD $250). Scene rehearsal takes place within paid shoot days; no separate rehearsal days are planned. Filming environment: A small-scale DIY LED virtual-production volume with a filmmaker-led production. Content advisory: Intense grief, bereavement, religious conflict, psychological distress and discussion of death. Scene-specific physical or sensitive requirements will be disclosed before booking. HOW TO APPLY Apply through Casting Networks for the role you are interested in. Include headshot, acting résumé, reel or relevant performance clip if available, location, non-union status and general availability during the target shoot window. A reel is welcome but not required. Links are preferred to large video attachments. Applications reviewed as they arrive. No self-tape is required with the initial application. Selected applicants receive confidential sides and simple self-tape instructions privately. Finalists may be invited to a live callback and chemistry read. No elaborate costume, set or props needed for tapes. USAGE AND BOOKING The full proof of concept is intended for private financing and talent pitches; short excerpts may be used publicly to promote the project. Casting is for the proof-of-concept shoot. Feature casting will be handled separately. Payment, dates, credit and usage terms will be confirmed in the performer agreement before filming.
