SYNOPSIS: The film takes place in September, 1945, upon Colonel James “Jimmy” Stewart’s return to California after bravely serving in Europe during World War II. Stewart is invited to stay with his close friends, Henry and Frances Fonda and their two young children, on the family ranch in Mandeville Canyon. As the war hero re-adjusts to his life away from active combat in the European skies, he struggles to find meaning and purpose while Hollywood tempts him to return to the screen in a film to be directed by Frank Capa - It’s A Wonderful Life.
