After the death of her father, Hattie starts being contacted by his ghost through the Smart technology in her apartment. As her electronics become more possessive -- controlling her schedule, what she eats, and even locking her inside -- Hattie starts to wonder if it's a demonic energy posing as her father to learn about her and take over her life. Meanwhile, the viewer starts to notice the dark form of someone watching her from a neighboring apartment and realizes the threat isn't supernatural at all, but a very real stalker who has found a way to connect to her tech.
