Synopsis:

Fame in a Can is seeking women (18+) from anywhere in the United States to participate in an ongoing remote digital Polaroid portrait project. Selected participants will be featured in their own individual episode as part of a collaborative art project exploring people, identity, and self-expression. Sessions are conducted remotely through a live-directed photography process, allowing participants to take part from the comfort of their own space—no travel required. Each session is collaborative, and participants are encouraged to contribute their own ideas, personality, and perspective throughout the creative process. No professional modeling experience is required. Curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and a willingness to collaborate are far more important than experience in front of a camera. Fame in a Can is inspired by a time when the internet felt more personal and creative. Rather than creating images for algorithms or trends, the project focuses on creating thoughtful digital Polaroid portraits that celebrate the individuality of each participant. Artistic Comfort Fame in a Can explores a wide range of portraiture. Some participants choose to create fully clothed portraits, while others may explore implied nude, topless, or fine art nude imagery as part of their episode. There is no expectation or requirement to participate in any style of portraiture beyond your personal comfort level. All artistic direction and boundaries are discussed privately before the session. Project Details Women, 18+ (U.S. participants only) Remote live-directed portrait sessions (no travel required) Approximately 1–2 hours Individual digital Polaroid episode Unpaid artistic collaboration Participants receive all original images and edited final selections Participants have input on the images selected for their episode Selected participants will be featured in a future Fame in a Can episode published on the project website
