After surviving retaliation from the pair, Althea's strategic alliance with Alessandro begins to deepen. At their engagement banquet, Marcus attempts a final humiliation, but Alessandro ends it violently, declares Althea his future mistress, and—when the property agreement is opened—is revealed as the rightful recipient. The disgraced lovers are expelled. Alessandro proves their marriage is no transaction, reclaiming her stolen future and gifting her a dagger from her past life. In his compromised state, Althea chooses to stay with him, solidifying their bond. Marcus, provoked, kills Serena.
