Crooked Wings - Mamm21 10 Min Short Film Finalist
This production is part of the 10-minute short film VAFF - MAMM 21 (MIGHTY ASIAN MOVIEMAKING MARATHON) finalists. Open to non-union performers only. Crooked Wings is a quiet emotional drama about Jia, a perfectionist art teacher whose childhood wounds resurface while preparing her students for a parent-child art exhibition. When she corrects a young student's imperfect origami, Jia realizes she is repeating the same criticism her mother once gave her. Through Anna's crooked paper crane, Jia learns to accept imperfection, individuality, and the softer parts of herself she once tried to fold away.
