Project Notes

To really make the tone of this story sing, we need actors who can give us a wide range of emotions. Let’s search for quality dramatic actors who are compelling just to look at, and draw us in with powerful gravity. Our actor bros playing our clan bros aren’t trying to be funny, but rather they’re playing it straight with sincerity, they mean it, you know? Well, as straight as a rom-com actor plays it–think Paul Rudd and Jason Segel in I Love You, Man or John Cusack in…anything besides those weird horror movies he did. We want grounded, charming, living in their passionate truth. Our cast should be a colorful clan – representing real Clan players – a great diversity of age and backgrounds, shapes and sizes. A diverse cast underscores how big the (ever expanding) universe of Clash of Clans is and that it’s for everybody, whether you’re just starting or getting sucked back in by the bros you love who really need your troops, resources, and brotherly love. We’ll get a lot of comedy out of pairings – like a 60 year old post man from India jumping on the hood of his 29 year old friend from Minnesota’s taxi cab, begging to ransack more gold mines together.
