Synopsis

The creative goal of "Captivated" Rom Com Scene Study- MW 2026 is to adapt and repurpose visual elements of a selected scene for a new context. While the old context depicts an entertaining scene from a 20th-century film in which a protagonist and a villain character interact with each other, our new romantic comedy scene shows a young woman reflecting on and expressing the fulfillment, satisfaction, and bliss she experiences when playfully enjoying a interactions with her fiancé. Based on the results of this initial scene study, more development projects may result with further opportunities to develop the story, characters, and setting.

Additional Information: This project is planned to be completed 100% via remote. After an initial audition via Zoom, talent cast in a role will meet with the director for 2-3 recorded 2-hour Zoom sessions and also submit self-recorded segments. Talent and production staff members may not post any part of this project (including video, sound, or production stills) on any social media or Website without the expressed permission of production leadership. This project is intended for adult audiences. All actors must be at least 18 years of age as of Tue 06/16/26 to be eligible for a role in this production. While this project does seek to explore romantic feelings and affections between two consenting adults, the project involves no direct or implied nudity, no lewd content, and no obscene language.
