Synopsis:

Tiffany Stringer’s visual series explores the duality of fame, performance, and vulnerability across three distinct cinematic worlds. In “Damn Good Actress,” Tiffany steps into an old Hollywood premiere as “The Lone Starlet,” surrounded by flashing paparazzi and polished media spectacle. The glamor feels intoxicating — glitter stages, vintage broadcast sets, spotlight performances — until the facade cracks. Behind the curtain, we glimpse the emotional weight beneath the stardom. The question lingers: was it all just a performance? In “Supernova,” the lens shifts inward. Inside a monochrome blue living room, Tiffany and Danny navigate the fragile beginning of a relationship under the pressure of her celebrity. Through stylized choreography, glitter-filled moments, and surreal fireworks erupting within the space, the video captures the anxiety, excitement, and emotional vulnerability of falling in love. In “Casualty” and “The Encore,” we return to the theater. In one, Tiffany sits anonymously in a crowded cinema, quietly breaking down as the world watches something else. In the other, she performs alone on a grand stage to an empty house. Together, these pieces examine isolation — both in the spotlight and within the crowd.
