Director: Savannah Leaf run003 is part of an ongoing art series developing over the past several years; and has been exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States, including Hauser & Wirth DTLA, SFMOMA, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Each chapter uses the language of sport and movement to explore the physical and psychological toll placed on bodies within systems that confine, discipline, or consume them. The series began as an autobiographical reflection on Savanah's own transition from Olympic athlete to filmmaker, and has since evolved into a larger collaborative project. Visually, the films exist within spaces that feel both familiar and otherworldly; real-world environments that gesture toward a dystopian or speculative future.
