Broken Strings
Project Details
A once-aspiring Chicago blues musician wakes to find his woman gone. Her absence calls him to the old guitar he hasn’t touched in years — but the strings are broken. He spends the day moving through the city trying to fix the one thing he can, patient and unhurried, the way a man gets when he’s been through worse. Eventually he makes it home and plays. The apartment fills with something it’s been missing. Then there’s a knock at the door. She’s back. He sets the guitar down. The camera finds it in the corner — waiting, the way it always does.
