Software engineer at a seed-stage startup. He's been postponing dating until Series A. He comes to the matchmaking event hoping to be seen face-to-face, not judged by a profile. Polite, observant, slightly behind every moment. Laughs a half-second late. Ranks people on his phone with the focus he can't bring to a face. He wants Sophia and never says so. The camera is on him for fourteen pages, mostly silent. Almost entirely interior: thinking visibly, wanting visibly, hiding both. Needs someone who can be watched doing nothing and still be the most interesting person in the room. Not looking for handsome, polished, or presenter energy. Glasses a plus. A face that isn't trying. Non-actors fine if the stillness is there.
