Looking for a patient and polite guy who slowly realizes his life has been hijacked and he’s too nice to do anything about it until he’s finally heard enough. Should be effortlessly cool but not in the traditional sense. He has confidence even if he comes across a bit nerdy at first. He doesn’t want to be the story, he just wants to use his phone. His job is to slowly break under the weight of Ali’s relentless presence while maintaining composure in front of other people. Roy barely speaks until the end, so his face needs to do the work, surprise, forced politeness, creeping dread, resignation. Slight eye-widen when Ali appears, a tight smile, the "please leave me alone" look he gives when she interrupts his date. Natural, grounded physicality. Can play scenes where he’s trying to ignore Ali or pretend she’s not there. Comfortable being the "normal person" in abnormal situations. Which is what makes him cool and confident.
