Debating News Anchor (sarah)
About the Job
A seasoned television news anchor and outspoken true-crime commentator covering the rapidly developing Elena Blake case. Sarah is confident, opinionated, and unafraid to challenge another commentator when she believes they are missing the bigger picture. She has a strong emotional reaction to the case, particularly the fact that three people are dead while Elena remains free. Sarah believes the evidence against Elena is being dismissed too easily and becomes increasingly frustrated during a heated on-air debate with her remote guest, Ryan. Seeking an actress who can deliver a credible television-news performance that gradually becomes heated and confrontational. She should feel intelligent and authoritative, with the ability to become genuinely frustrated and lose some of her professional composure without becoming cartoonish. Think: experienced true-crime host who genuinely believes what she's saying — not someone “playing” an angry TV personality.
