**MALCOLM — Male Lead | 18–21** Malcolm is laid-back, charismatic, and naturally cool without needing to prove it. He’s close with his three best friends and is usually caught up in their jokes, challenges, and summer adventures. To them, Malcolm is just trying to finish the last item on their summer bucket list. But Malcolm has started seeing Layla differently. Over the course of the summer, what began as a casual challenge has turned into something genuine. He’s taken Layla on dates, spent real time getting to know her, and developed feelings he hasn’t told his friends about. He keeps the relationship private because he knows his homies would turn it into another joke or challenge. On the final night of summer, Malcolm is caught between the expectations of his friends and what he actually feels for Layla. He knows everyone expects him to make his final move, but he’s beginning to realize he doesn’t want Layla to be another name crossed off a list. **Looking for:** Strong natural presence, believable chemistry, comedic timing, subtle emotional range, and the ability to portray a character who can be funny and confident with his friends while becoming more vulnerable and genuine around Layla. Actor should feel comfortable with naturalistic dialogue and romantic scenes.
