About the Job
Korean-appearing. Jenny is a young woman, mature beyond her years. Being an older sister to John, a teen with a chronic heart condition, as well as being part of a Korean immigrant family where her parents do not speak English, she has had to learn to be a spokesperson, a caretaker, and the symbol of confidence for her family. While supporting John through his illness by being by his side during his outings, she has made acquaintances with John’s friend group, including Bruno, Lawrence, and Mark. She has had to put her college and professional life aside while stepping into the caretaker role, a role that has physically and emotionally exhausted her, yet she always remains composed and does not reveal more about her struggles than she feels she has to.
