About the Job
THE SURGEON: Spends his professional life making cold, exact decisions, and over-corrects for it off the clock by chasing anything loose and indulgent. He's the bar's peacemaker, always smoothing things over — while avoiding something waiting for him at home. Vince's wandering life needles him; he wants to ask what it's like to just leave, but won't say it outright. Key Scene / Tone: Charming, deflecting humor masking real restlessness. Needs an actor who can let the mask slip for a beat without overplaying it.
