MR. BLACK (50s) is an enigmatic producer conducting what initially appears to be an ordinary audition. Calm, intelligent, observant, and unnervingly perceptive, he gradually pushes Jason beyond his rehearsed answers and forces him to confront the fears and insecurities he has spent years avoiding. Mr. Black never needs to raise his voice to command the room. His presence should feel mysterious and unsettling without becoming overtly sinister. The role requires a restrained, grounded performance with strong command of silence, subtle reactions, and dialogue. SUPPORTING. Strong dramatic performance required.
