A struggling actor/model, good-looking in a way that reads more tired than leading-man, currently between auditions. Wes answers a strange ad for cash and ends up in over his head. He's decent, a little passive, quick with a nervous joke, and easy to underestimate, which is exactly why Bella picked him. Over the course of the film he goes from visibly out of his depth to something closer to quiet acceptance, and by the final scene he's walking through the city in a paint-ruined suit like he's stopped being embarrassed about it. This role is more straightforward than Bella's, but still requires: Strong reactive acting; a large part of the performance is listening and responding to a much bigger, faster scene partner Comfort playing sustained vulnerability (tied to a chair, in his underwear, and later paint-covered) without playing it for pure comedy or pure victimhood A believable, likable presence; the audience needs to be on his side the whole time Some light physical comedy early on, shifting into something quieter and more grounded by the end
