About the Job
Anna is visiting her boyfriend Thomas in federal prison, worn down by his choices and the life they've lost because of them. She's guarded and skeptical of his latest scheme, still carrying resentment over past broken promises, but she's also come with a topic she's struggling to deliver. Over the course of the scene, she moves from restrained frustration to desperation, trying to hold herself together for his sake even as her own composure breaks. Looking for: An actor who can play controlled tension and hold back emotion convincingly, then let it collapse into grief by the scene's end.
