Vincent's mother, seen at the age she was on a childhood Christmas morning — the year she built her son a blanket fort full of lantern stars because he asked to see space. Warm, playful, completely devoted to him. When she realizes this is goodbye, she fights for him to stay — asks him outright, presses for just a little longer, starts to plead — but ultimately accepts his decision and lets him go.
