About the Job
Sam (late 20s) is a warm, nerdy charmer. The kind of guy who can talk about antique metal detectors for an hour and make it endearing rather than exhausting. He's generous, playful, and quietly thoughtful, the emotional anchor and light in Jade's world. His energy is open and inviting; his humor is gentle and self-aware. Beneath the goofiness is real tenderness. He plans little surprises, he pays attention, and he cares deeply. We're looking for an actor with natural comic timing, genuine warmth, and the ability to shift from playful banter to sincere, grounded emotion without losing charm. Strong, believable chemistry with the actor playing Jade is essential. Note: the role may involve a secondary "dark double" figure in a dream/vision sequence - details discussed at callback.
