About the Job
Physical Description: Carries a cane - one leg is paralyzed Role in Story: Main supporting character - serial killer Goals: He tries to convince the detective and the mother that he didn't kill her child. Because he sincerely wants that kid to have justice. Personality: Religious, turned to God, patient, honest, modest, de-attached, possesses austereness, clear-minded (had a false view of religion back then), satirical Occupation: Factory laborer Habits and Mannerisms: Talks heavy and slowly Background: Grew up on a farm with mom and dad. Dad was a religious extremist and mom was the only person who cared. Elijah moved away from the farm because of his dad, and gave in to his compulsions - killing children. Internal Conflicts: Killed children because he thought of them as a sacrifice. Because they were inherently innocent, Elijah believed that he was cleaning his soul through their blood (all of this came from his extremist dad - he presented a false view of religion). Elijah still has those compulsions and fights them by repenting to God every single day. External Conflicts: He is in jail - he has killed children, but not the mother's kid.
