Richard
About the Job
Richard is a man in his late 40s to early 50s whose calm, authoritative presence commands attention the moment he enters a room. A respected police officer by profession, he is intelligent, disciplined, and emotionally controlled. Behind the badge, however, lies a calculating predator who has spent years helping his younger brother abduct and murder young women while keeping their crimes hidden. Shaped by a deeply traumatic childhood, Richard has become fiercely protective of Colin, enabling and justifying his brother's increasingly horrific behavior. While Colin is driven by obsession and delusion, Richard is the realist—methodical, manipulative, and fully aware of the evil they commit. He will do whatever it takes to protect Colin and preserve the life they've built together. The role demands quiet intensity, authority, and restraint. Richard should be more intimidating the calmer he is, projecting intelligence, confidence, and absolute control rather than explosive aggression. He is the kind of villain who rarely raises his voice because he never has to. Though a supporting role, Richard is one of the film's primary antagonists and a crucial part of the brothers' disturbing dynamic.
