Melia is a 2nd generation of Mexican decent. She is a grandma (her daughter and grandson live in Texas, but come to visit). Melia has unofficially adopted Radison as the son she never had. He loves it. Melia is widowed (3 years prior) She has a big heart, but she's a straight shooter, not fluffy (think Golden Girls personality mix - light on the Blanch) Melia was an amateur car racer - she learned in the summers on her uncle's ranch in Mexico
