Judge
About the Job
**ROLE: Mean Old Courtroom Judge** The Judge is an elderly, intimidating courtroom authority figure who has absolutely no patience for nonsense. He is sharp, bitter, and brutally direct, with the energy of someone who has spent decades behind the bench and has grown tired of everyone wasting his time. This character should feel powerful, cranky, and judgmental. He interrupts people, talks down to them, bangs the gavel aggressively, and delivers every line like he has already decided everyone in the courtroom is guilty of stupidity. He should be mean in a funny, exaggerated way — harsh enough to scare the people in the room, but theatrical enough for the audience to laugh. Ideal performance style: grumpy, old-school, impatient, condescending, and dramatic. Think a judge who hates excuses, hates long explanations, and hates being questioned. Wardrobe: black judge robe, gray or white hair, glasses, stern expression, gavel, and anything that makes him look ancient, powerful, and terrifying.
