Olivia -25 years old - Black - She was born in the 1960’s and the current time is 1990 Olivia comes from a supportive working class family, but her father is very practical and wants her to have a “real job” and her mother doesn’t like how confident, strong and outspoken she is. She is used to standing out and having to prove herself because since she was young, she was always the only African American girl in all white top schools. She was always met with, “you could’ve done better” attitudes from her family. She had to fight for her roles and to have dignity in the roles as well. She became close to David, who is also an actor, but David has a lot of issues and one of them being drinking, cheating and jealousy. He’s a hypocrite when it comes to Olivia. Both David and Olivia agreed to not kiss anyone on set and use body doubles If intimacy was in one of their scenes. But, he can cheat, drink and come back to apologize. David pushed her too far, however, by sleeping with her cousin while he was out of town on vacation. Olivia doesn’t do these things, but she will call him out on his issues and is very blunt. She cares, but she’s not dealing with his issues of insecurity.
