The Waitress
Nothin' Beats A Cheeseburger

About the Job
The one normal person in the room when the world goes sideways. A dry, seen-it-all diner-lifer energy. Gladys keeps the diner — and Marv — from falling apart, and she's the last one standing in the wreckage when everyone beams off to space. Her whole job is to make the lead funnier. Flexible, generous, quick on the reaction. Clean comedic timing and a great scene partner — a "second" who supports the bit instead of fighting for it. Can play warm or dry depending on who we cast opposite. This is a flexible support/foil role — name and gender are open, some chemistry with lead and physical humor will be the key.
