Intern
Consumer Product Commercial
About the Job
I'm looking for 2 actors to play young Gen Z interns in a commercial for a consumer brand. This role requires some comedic acting or just being yourself if you already fit the stereotype we're looking for. I'm open and flexible to your interpretation of the role, but I imagined Aubrey Plaza's April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation character for one. The other might be lacking self-awareness, happy-go-lucky and just excited to be there. The bit includes the interns being asked by their boss to arrange for "the new product" to be tested for durability. With the best of intentions the interns set up extreme versions of a test which go far beyond what any reasonable experienced person would conceive, then conduct the test in front of a very surprised boss. The premise of the commercial spot is, What happens when you turn every variation of boring, predictable, skippable, useless product video and durability test that we’ve all seen brands do a million times—and make them wildly irresponsible, magnetic, purposely audacious, entertaining and lightly scientific?
