Rock The Boat
CONCEPT: We are looking for two stand-up comedians who are comfortable expressing their political opinions to join us in North Carolina for a comedy show on Saturday, August 15 and then a whitewater rafting trip on Sunday August 16 through RAFT for America, an organization that pairs people from across the political divide for constructive conversations after a white-water rafting trip. This documentary will show some of your stand-up comedy as it relates to current issues, then show some of your personal life to understand where those views come from as well as to see how it collides with someone who disagrees with you (i.e., the other comedian). Comedians have to be comfortable with expressing their political opinions and disagreements with others. New York-area comics are preferred. Must be willing to travel the weekend of August 15th/16th to North Carolina (Bryson City area, on the Nantahala River) for the RAFT for America event. This film has secured non-exclusive distribution with RealClearPolitics, and our executive producers have longstanding relationships with PBS, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the Wall Street Journal.
