JUDY & SCOTT are the Parents to our leads Glue Girl (already cast) and her brother David (already cast) The parents in this film play an essential role, much like the parents in classic early 2000’s family comedies. Scott and Judy begin and end the story in a familiar place, but unlike the typical family comedies, these parents are, for better or worse, more present in their kid’s lives, navigating having teenagers in a tech-heavy world. They are toeing the line of being over protective and trusting their kids with a bit of freedom. These characters are far more capable than the caricature parents in a kid’s movie, but they are no less funny. Young adults expecting to relate to the teenage characters may find themselves surprised to connect with the parents' point of view.
