The Cyclist
Healthcare Project
About the Job
We're casting for authentic Long Beach — a male cyclist, fifty to fifty-five, with salt-and-pepper hair and a weathered quality earned through actual time outdoors and on the bike. This isn't a model or a fashion spot. We're looking for someone with genuine cycling fitness: the lean physique that comes from real movement, not gym work. The authenticity lives in the details — sun-textured skin, laugh lines, hands shaped by years of gripping handlebars. He should read as someone who's lived a full life in this community. Hispanic or ethnically ambiguous. No tattoos. The goal is to represent the real people of Long Beach without veering into glossy or artificial. Most importantly, he conveys natural empathy and warmth — someone you can see yourself in, someone who makes you smile without trying.
