HANNAH (Female, 30–40) — A recently widowed hospice nurse struggling to rebuild her life after the loss of her husband. Compassionate, capable, and deeply empathetic, Hannah has spent her career caring for others while quietly neglecting her own grief. Financially desperate and emotionally exhausted, she accepts a high-paying overnight assignment at an isolated country estate, believing it to be just another difficult shift. As the night unfolds, Hannah finds herself trapped inside a house that seems determined to keep her there. Forced to confront increasingly terrifying events, she must also face the guilt, loneliness, and unresolved pain she has carried since her husband's death. The role requires a strong dramatic actress capable of carrying the film through subtle, naturalistic performance, emotional vulnerability, and psychological intensity. No horror experience required—authenticity is far more important than genre familiarity.
