(Late 30s– early 50s. All ethnicities) Commanding, authoritative, and unwavering. The most powerful religious authority in Judea, Caiaphas is a severe man convinced he is acting for the greater good, even as his actions result in Jesus’ capture and crucifixion. Tall, bearded actors are preferred.

Strong and imposing. He commands the legion of Roman soldiers in Judea with ruthless authority. He is tasked personally with flogging and crucifixion of Jesus. Stunt and stage combat experience is a plus. This actor may be required to perform in other roles throughout the production.
