About the Job
BJJ instructor. Can roll while conducting a normal conversation. Has a YouTube channel where he makes terrible Jiu Jitsu puns. The philosopher of the gym. He delivers the series' closest thing to a thesis statement without a shred of irony, upside down, in a room full of people also upside down. What we need: Needs to hold weight in both the comedic and the genuinely moving registers. His Philosophising is not a joke (well it is) – but it needs to land as real. Training/physical requirement: BJJ or grappling experience required. Needs to look credible rolling on the mat. Blue Belt or above. We’ve written him as a Black Belt, but we wont be seeing any technical moves, so this is not necessary for the part.
