About the Job

Bruno is in his 30s. An earnest, sensitive Baroque‑era artist (17th century), deeply consumed by his work. Open to performers of all backgrounds who can authentically embody a historical European sensibility. Accent appropriate to the setting is welcome but not required. Long hair is a definite plus, as well as facial hair. As a sensitive, tortured artist totally consumed with his work, Bruno should be on the thinner to average build size. He’s got handsome, sharp facial features and (with a modern day spa treatment) would likely be objectively hot. He should also be able to perform a period-appropriate Courante dance and other bits of physical comedy that we want to lean more earnest than slapstick. In general, our Bruno actor should embody a baroque starving artist in an earnest, sincere way, and not in a caricature kind of way. COMEDY IMPROV SKILLS required & BROADWAY EXPERIENCE a plus.
