About the Job
ITALIAN - (Mid to Late 20’s), a young John Travolta, is a walking contradiction. He’s a smart guy but always makes bad choices. He’s a talented chef with a promising future but traded it for the thrill of living on the edge to see where it takes him. It took him to a robbery gone wrong and a five-year prison sentence. Now he has the chance to turn it around and start over. He’s eligible for early parole if he has a place to live and a job. He has a son he deeply loves but hasn’t seen for three years. His aunt and uncle agree to let him come home, be with his son and be a chef again in the family restaurant. That is if he’s serious about getting his life together and follows the rules set by his parole officer and them. Frankie insists he’s a changed man and can do it, but anyone who knows him says it’s a sucker’s bet.
