reMind is a Miyazaki-esque comic book series with a YA sensibility, addressing issues of loss, faith and family. Sonja , an independent but reclusive young woman living in the town of Cripple Peaks, always had a strained relationship with her father over his belief in “the Lizard Man”, a mysterious creature he claims to have seen but which she denies the existence of. Years after her father’s death, Sonja’s lost cat Victuals returns with a head full of stitches and the remarkable ability to speak, revealing the existence of an underwater kingdom of lizard people from which he has been banished by the god-king Erzats. With Sonja’s help Victuals returns to the Lizard Kingdom, discovering that the King has stolen his life and his body in a twisted scheme to cheat death. Now Victuals is in a fight against time to regain what he lost, overthrow the tyrannical king and save the entire race of lizard people…
