About the Job
Her vignette is simple and completely silent. No dialogue, no jokes, no punchline — just Diane in a space that holds a lot of history, with the people who share it. We need an actress whose presence alone tells a story. Someone the camera finds interesting without her having to do anything to earn it. If you have a real daughter we want to hear about her. The most important thing in this scene is not what happens on screen — it is what already exists between the people in it before we ever call action. This is a non-speaking role. Genuine warmth and natural stillness are everything.
