In the Florida Lottery’s bright, polished “Department of Good Fun,” an animal tracker arrives to deal with a “bucks situation.” Only—he believes he’s tracking actual bucks. As in, deer. What follows is a full-scale wilderness investigation conducted entirely inside an office. This is a classic fish-out-of-water comedy built on contrast. The Buck Finder operates with total conviction—reading signs, tracking movement, following a scent—In an environment contrary to this behavior. The humor comes from the collision between his heightened perspective and the everyday rhythm of the office. Every step of his process feels precise and intentional— it’s just being applied in a completely unexpected setting.
