About the Job
The spirit is there to guide the girl, but she has her own arc as well. At first, she comes across very mysterious and hard to read, but internally she's just there to do her job. But after a while, she starts to care for this girl she's here to guide, and at the end the spirit finally speaks to the girl directly in an emotional scene that closes the short. The spirit takes multiple forms throughout the short, which gives a variety of challenges and standout moments. One of the forms the spirit takes is a human form, where the spirit is sort of mirroring the appearance of the girl. To help sell this idea, I want the spirit to look at least somewhat similar to the lead, who is southeast asian, hence the ethnicity preference.
