A reboot of the classic series, Reading Rainbow is returning with a digital series and a new host, Mychal Threets (known as Mychal the Librarian on social media). Initial exhibition on YouTube (Reading Rainbow channel, Sony Kids channel, Kidzuko). A creation of Buffalo Toronto Public Media (BTPM), Reading Rainbow premiered in 1983 as a wildly successful approach for using television to inspire children’s love of reading and build lasting connections between kids and books. Renewing its mission for a new generation, the program is back with a new digital platform and a new host, social media librarian Mychal Threets.
