About the Job
The role requires an actor capable of conveying depth through stillness. No dialogue, but a strong screen presence is essential. The audience should forget about him at first but instantly remember him when called upon. Without revealing spoilers, the character ultimately becomes a powerful emotional anchor in the film's final act, reframing much of what the audience thought they understood about the film. Think: a man carrying quiet grief, quiet wisdom, and a life that has rendered him an NPC in the real world.
