Deep character studies gives actors the space to really show their skills. Competent, organic Dialogue only lifts that idea to next level. Chris is the first person Dustin comes across. He is mysterious and suspicious. Things don't end too well. Oscars: One more thing about the Oscars, Ryan and Michael did not get best picture (darn) but what they did get was in SOME ways better..they each received an Oscar for THEIR singular skills. Meaning a best picture is for the whole vision. However the screenwriting Oscar is strictly Ryan's. The best Actor is strictly Michael B's. This is more incredible than you can wrap your heads around. Thirteen yeas ago Ryan met with Michael B. At the close of their meeting, Ryan told Michael that he was his superstar. Thirteen years later Michael has a star on the Hollywood Fame, A rare Oscar for a black man as leading actor, a smash original movie and at least three multi million dollar mansions. This is what belief looks like folks. So when someone says ' I see something in you' have a conversation. I was in an audience full of people watching the Oscars. When those two awards were announced, tears flowed from my eyes in a big way. I'm not weak at all but I was so proud...that's passion.
